The boy saw movement and believed she was going to accept his offer. Yet the phone surprised him and he stared again in awe. He was obviously easy to please. He listened intently, thinking she might say something, but heard nothing. Anxious as to whom she was calling, he silently hoped they would pick up. He blinked slowly, gazing at her limp body with his orchid eyes. The phone was scooped up in one hand and handled with interest. "Mmm do you have unlimited text? Owow.." He squeaked while playing with the buttons. He sent a message whether she responded or not, eyes locked curiously on the mobile phone. After a few silent moments, he slipped it into his pocket and directed his attention back to Augito. "You are quite the strange little girl, mhm." He tucked his hands underneath her and lifted her. Although the boy was a young adolescent, he seemed to pick her up with sturdy, yet simple strength. Unfortunately, that didn't prove much as anyone could lift her. "Ogosh, just a bit stronger and you would've been sent to the trees." He carried her farther into the forest, strangely alert and on edge. He paused near a tree that was slightly more massive then the ones surrounding it. There was brown spots that poked out of the leaves other than the branches. He transferred Augito mostly to his right side and tightened his grip on her. His left arm reached for a lower branch, grabbing it and pulling up the body weight of the two. He only released to reach for another when his feet were securely fastened on curves in the tree. It didn't take long before he reached the top; it was a large tree house. The mosses on the tree had gathered onto the old wood, signs of it being slightly old. He lifted her in before climbing up himself. The wooden floor was soft with age, but thick. It was spacious, but mostly empty. The only distinct things were a blanket and a leg brace. The boy did not say anything, only yawned.
The familiar buzz of Zed's phone rang again, and he began to reach for it. At the sound of Ashley's voice, Zed's eyes drifted back, only to stare quietly at her hands. "It really is the same." He murmured, his dialect becoming a whisper as the words followed through. The device vibrated again, and he pulled away from her. Zed returned the phone back to his pocket, not bothering to check it. "I need to go." He spoke plainly, serious eyes gazing at Ashley.

Augito's body didn't move or respond to the theft of her phone. Her thoughts protested but her body was docile. Her arms dangled below her, head rolling back. So limp it was hard to believe she was still conscious. Her eyes were hardly what you could call open, but trembled like she was blinking. Her lips parted weakly like she wanted to speak, her wheezes long and jagged in her throat. No! Put me down! put me down! Zed! Zed! I'm waiting for Zed! The final exertion of her rushed, desperate thoughts was too much and her mind caved on her. Her lids refused to tremble and her ice like body became completely vulnerable as she finally fainted. Her dark hair plastered to the sides of her small face, her tiny body shivered even in sleep, and the chill of her skin could be felt through her blood stained clothes.
Ashley's eyes were wide by his reaction, her hands still where they were left. She blinked slowly and then, eventually, her arms fell to her sides. Her stare concealed halfway by trembling lids and her voice was cold and almost disgusted. "Fine, just go." She turned her head away from him, it looked like she wanted to speak. After a long hesitation she decided against it. "I don't f.ucking understand you sometimes..." She mumbled instead.

While Augito was out, the boy had changed into new, cleaner clothes that were stained with her blood. He disposed of his others, making sure he remembered to remove her phone. He placed it next to her, while sturdy hands worked on her shoulder wound. The touch was different than the stranger, strong but with a gentle feel. It was an amateur process, using only but a sewing needle and fishing wire. But it needed to be closed, and it was cleaned slightly with makeshift replacements for antiseptics. With wet cloths, the hands brushed away the blood on her lips and face. During this quick, yet unperfected process, she had been changed swiftly out of her clothes as well. She was dressed in a slightly huge blue t-shirt and sweats. The healer finally backed away, done for now.

Away from the rain and her wet clothing Augito's dangerously cold temperature was making a steady incline. However the incline was slower than one would hope. Having lacked the normal warmth another person would posses the improvement wasn't much. Her lungs still carried water and every now and then her wheezes would carry water over her lips. She did not feel the healer's touch nor stir from the removal of her clothes that revealed her scrawny body. During the entire process she had been eerily still, and anyone that knew Augito well enough would have guessed that she would have woken by now, being the extremely light sleeper that she was. Rather she remained virtually knocked out, the rise and fall of her chest was beginning to grow visible but her wheezing was still loud. What would've been huge from someone else was a house for Augito, the collar of the shirt falling about her small shoulders and the sleeves extending passed her elbows. The end of the shirt somewhere by her knees, the sweats swallowed her feet. Her fingers twitched and her face momentarily looked distressed. Then she was still, placid, and silent while subtle shivers still gripped her. Her shoulder wound, upon the inspection, would appear to run the length of her shoulder, running deep to shallow. However even the shallow end had bore a few inches into her sickly body. The job must have, indeed, been poor but the bleeding had ceased. Augito's hair was drying slowly however most of it still stuck to her face.

An awkward silence hung in the air; neither of them expected Augito to be out for this long. The healer still remained closer to Augito than the young teen, but with a small distance. His breathing was very low and quiet, and eventually the other boy started humming to shatter the silence. The quiet song only went on for a few minutes, before the boy trailed off, gazing at the other blankly. "She could wake up soon. You should go." There was no verbal answer, only the sound of his footsteps as rose slowly . He grabbed the blanket and tossed it over her before slipping out of the tree house.

Augito did not stir until a few minutes after the healer had left. Her eyelids slowly lifting, her consciousness made her breathing a little more leveled. Her eyes stretched wide and her chest convulsed painfully, coughing and hacking some of the water out of her lungs. Augito tried to move but found she was still too weak. She made small efforts to turn her head but also wasn't able to. She simply gazed around the area with large eyes, confused and frightened. Realizing how cold she still was she shivered, but didn't really pay her body temperature much attention.

The boy at first, did not notice her awaken. He only stared blankly out of the tree house, eyes spacey and mostly unblinking. Her attempted and fail movement slightly startled him, bringing him back to reality. "Ogosh, hey 'lax it's fine. As creepy as this sounds, I know you and I just want to help." He stayed in his position, not daring to come any closer. "You look half frozen. I would bring you some blankets but I'm afraid that's the only one I have and well I'm not particularly wanting to leave you alone right now." He pushed the goggles on his large hat back into the center. He dropped into an awkward silence, making his helplessness obvious. The boy's feet shuffled back and forth in vertical swings. "I think I may have saw you before, but I wasn't that close and couldn't tell. Once when I got hurt and had to lay off practice, Zed kept me entertained by chatting. He talked mostly about you." A small smile crossed his face. “I’m kinda young for my class, so I don’t get along that well with my older peers and I get lonely easily. I’m sure you already know that I’m willing to talk a lot when I want to though, hehe.” He went on , filling the emptiness with words. His chatter eventually subsided, and his gaze became clouded thoughtfully. “I suppose I may be able to get you better care or more warmth, but you’re going to have to go back to sleepland.” He flinched slightly from the sound of a ringing or vibrating originating from the phone next to Augito. It held one simple text.

Augito's heartbeat started faster when the strange boy spoke to her. Her incredible fear of people began to grip her already constricted lungs. She felt so helpless laying uselessly on the floor, what was she to do? Her large eyes darted about and her lips parted in an effort to to gain more oxygen. The more he spoke, though, the more she seemed to calm down. Augito was still obviously wary but her chest had ceased their agonizing spasms in an attempt to call, scream, or whatever Augito was hoping to achieve. Her lids sagged at the mention of Zed, her trembling body gained a gloomy air about her. She was very worried about Zed and regretful of what she had done. The trespass she has committed was unknown to her and that mere fact scared her. Her knuckles trembled at the vibration of her phone in an attempt to grab it. It was practically like holding a bone in front of a chained dog. Augito still couldn't move and her lungs burned terribly with just her breathing. It was awkward not being able to talk or fret like she usually did and she felt even weaker than normal. Her lids sagged and the edges of her eyes burned as she started to cry. Her hot tears blurred her vision again but she didn't close her lids, feeling vulnerable enough around the strange boy even though he had shown no threat the entire time. Augito did, in fact, recall watching Zed in track and talking to the same injured boy. The small reference did little to calm her, though. Bloody water curled around her lips and her body shook, her voice raspy and barely audible. "Where's Zed...?" This pathetic girl was still so obsessed, and it showed on her face. The worry, fear, and desperation that always seemed to plague her whenever her opposite wasn't near her. It was almost impossible to describe how badly she wanted to see him, that is, unless you looked in her eyes.

The boy blinked blankly, gazing at the girl with guarded emotions. "He's not far, but I think it's best that you don't see him right now." He spoke, still carrying that sense of insecure contentness. He leaned over, in a slight crouch to alter the knots on his boots. While his neck was craned, his hand occasionally rose up to push stray strands of hair and bangs under his hat. "Go back to sleep and all will be well." He returned back to normal posture; his soft chocolate eyes staring at her warily but lacked any harmful emotions. "Zed may come but only if you're snoozing." He adding with a empty voice.

Augito's desperation turned into an ache, down casting her eyes in an attempt to exclude the fact. Her lids lowered when the boy mentioned sleeping. She didn't understand what the point was of Zed visiting her if she couldn't see him, not to mention she was with someone strange. The thought complicated her for a moment as she tried to decide what to do. The slight trembles in her body continuous and her breathing was still a hassle. She lifted her stare once more to the strange boy, to her phone, and then went back to staring at the floor ahead of her. Her tears were now unknown to her, she's cried enough in her life so that the feeling was normal. Augito's finger twitched in another failed effort to move. Augito squeezed her eyes shut, still aware of the outside but needed a few moments in darkness to make up her mind. However as soon as her lids fell that heavily her weak body took over and she was deprived of her consciousness. Her breathing became steadily irregular again, but she trembled less. Her forehead was beginning to break out in cold sweat as the dizzying temperature in her head raised to feverish and her recent tears hung on her lashes. "This could very well be her last night at this rate, it seems I waited too long," A low voice sounded from the back, sudden and before unseen. "What a pity." K.G. chuckled in that same low, amused tone. His eyes gleamed with that same questionable look, teeth wide in his large grin. "You know, I could save her, and don't worry. I'm her brother, I'll take good care of her." He looked more at the boy than Augito, leaning his back against the far wall with his legs crossed and arms folded. His grin widened to spread the gleam on his teeth.

The boy gazed up with slightly challenging eyes. His countenance was engulfed by paranoid emotion, almost like he was possessive over the small tree haven. He didn't rise against Augito's brother; he only stayed positioned in his corner of the room. "She's not going to die. You don't need to be here, K.G." A rebellious strand of hair popped out from underneath his hat and he stuffed it back in stiffly. His gaze drifted to Augito, who was no longer conscious, and then back to K.G. warily.

K.G. still didn't glance down at Augito whose chest rose and fell stiffly in her ragged wheezing. Rather he looked partly more intrigued at the strange boy, his smile glinting. "Ah, so you know my name, I'm flattered," He spoke under his breath in a humored, almost playful tone. "Tell me, dear boy, what else has Zed told you about me?" He seemed to be playing with the boy now. Slight chuckles escaping him like fantasies and more questions were being conspired each moment that passed. K.G. glanced at Augito for the first time since his arrival and his grin eerily grew before he faced his stare back onto the strange boy, almost like a challenge.

The boy was obviously unhumored. He kept his chilly stare, cautious stare unhampered by reinforced control like Zed. History of personal experience and knowledge backed up his glare, making it partially wary also. His burning in his eyes diminished to embers once someone else spoke out. "Why don't you ask me yourself?" Called a voice from beneath. The bitter tone was forced into a neutral dialect. Zed gazed up at K.G. with an unreadable stare, while the younger teen shifted uncomfortably over to Augito.

K.G.'s attention seemed to completely shift when Zed entered the room and he suddenly became more guarded. His body stiffer and the amusement in his gaze diminished but Zed's presence wasn't enough to dull K.G.'s thick grin. "So there you are, little prince," K.G. chuckled dryly. K.G. uncrossed his long legs and stood upright in a sleek almost inhuman motion. The cause that made this motion abnormal was impossible to see but you could tell there was something different about the way he moved. K.G.'s eyes flickered. "I see you have made me famous to your friends," K.G. joked lightly without laughing. "That's very dangerous you know... People could get hurt." K.G.'s stare flickered momentarily to his frail sibling, and when it returned back to Zed his smile grew.

Zed at first didn't answer him; his eyes were locked on the tree trunk that loomed in front of him. He seemed to be uninterested in what K.G. had to say, but there wasn't a fierce flame in his gaze like it had been the other boy. The other teen was now dropped into a protective crouch over Augito. He appeared as if he was trying to hide the possessive movement as a weird sitting position. Zed didn't show any current intent of joining them, but also did not budge. He had gotten quite wet, since he never did escape the rain but the calm lapse should provide him with time to dry. His had become clouded with thought, and his facial expression made him look worn out. "K.G., what is it that you want?" He said plainly, eyes drifting back to the tree haven. "Come down here and speak to me. I can't hear you up there." He added, whether he was telling the entire truth or not was uncertain.
