Z3d felt her tiny little hands near his wrist and figured she was probably overwhelmed. He expected as much; it was hard for them to go anywhere without something unfortunate happening. He silently wondered why he kept trying. [COUGH THE BEACH COUGH PIZZA RESTAURANT COUGH TRACK PRACTICE ETC] Zed tried to keep his lips from sagging into a negative frown and let his fingers curl loosely around hers. "This big bus makes you look even smaller." He chuckled. Her height had never bothered him, so he was obviously trying to joke and lighten the atmosphere. His eyes strayed anxiously away, as if he guessed he wasn't helping. The clear round pupils gazed blankly out the window as shapes were quickly passed. "Soo..Augito, have you ever had any pets?" The curiosity suddenly died in his eyes as he realized sadly that any animal left in her care would be unfortunately, but honestly doomed to a life of zero luck.

The back of Augito's head rested against the leather of the bus seats. Since their uniform was long sleeved the material didn't stick to her skin the way leather tends to do. Her face lightened with a small smile as he felt his fingers curl around hers. The feeling of his skin making her heart light as his warmth encircled her fingers. Her distinctive eyes opened lifting to Zed, blushing a little harder as she mumbled. "Does it? My father used to say that if I was any smaller people would trip on me..." She shrunk a little bit in her seat, her smile growing a bit. "I know he was joking now, but I wore bright colors a lot after that..." Augito's eyelids sagged, her blush fading and her fingers curling tighter in Zed's hand. "I would like to think of them as pets. I stopped trying to have pets after a while, though... However, the time I had with them," Augito's lips quivered into a weak, sad smile. "Made me really happy... Whenever I was sad or lonely I would play with them and I always felt better..." Augito paused a moment before looking back up at Zed, her smile weak. "Do you like animals, Zed?" Augito asked, steering away from the subject as she felt that familiar burn at the back of her eyes. However she was a little too late to change the subject as a small, solitary tear escaped her notice and began to gather on her right eyelash. Augito always seemed prone to cry, bad memories and childhood plagued her to no end. However, she noticed lately that she never felt truly sad anymore. When Zed was there she wouldn't break down completely like she used to. There was always this small light at the back of her head, a withering weak flame set by Zed's warmth. A flame that could now dry up most of her tears before they even formed. She was finding peace in Zed.

Z3d watched her quietly, listening to her talk. He chuckled a bit at her stories, but mostly gazed at her with a pair of intense clear eyes. He almost seemed like he was taken off guard by a sudden question directed at him, and he blinked rapidly. "Pets? Well I dont' really know. I've never had one. My parents never really liked animals, but my sister and I never needed more than each other, so we were fine with it." His eyes lowered, and any sort of expression disappeared after mentioning his sister. He frowned, obviously noticing her slight tear. "I'm sorry Augito, sometimes I ask the silliest things and I should think more before I do.." Zed slipped his hand away from her's, almost like he was afraid to touch her. "Augito, do my kisses bother you?" He said softly, obviously just contradicting his last statement but it had been pestering him. Zed always over protective of both Augito and her emotions. He was not asking this because he felt insulted, he was curious because she seemed distraught.

Augito's frail features were burdened with concern, her pale eyes watching Zed from behind her long bangs. When he pulled away from her Augito's eyes widened a bit and her mind went into a slight alarm. Wondering what she could've done to dissatisfy Zed enough to where he would leave her. With Augito's timid and over conscious nature she found so many reasons, even ones that weren't even logical, as to why Zed would start to look so upset. She opened her small mouth to speak but stopped as his question caught her off guard. A heavy blush turning her face red, looking at Zed with surprise. She lowered her head, contemplating what to say. Her hand still motionless where Zed left it. Her hand felt so cold now, perhaps it was just Augito's imagination. "It doesn't matter what you say to me... You simply talking to me is..." Augito paused, her eyes clouded and a weak smile on her face. "I don't know if I can ever explain how happy you make me... When you smile and laugh... When I can make you smile..." Augito blinked realizing she was beginning to steer away from the subject, blushing harder when she realized. "C-cause, I mean... Uh, you shouldn't have to apologize, and..." her voice was a little quieter, blushing profoundly. "I like when you kiss me... Almost a little too much..." She intertwined her fingers, trying to distract herself. It wasn't really working though. "B-but I should probably stop talking about it, I don't want to creep you out, or something like that..." She stuttered.

Zed grinned softly while she talked, relieved. "That makes me feel alot better, thank you. I would never hurt you deliberately, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being oblivious.." He trailed off, only returning to reality once the bus stopped shortly after. His expression changed from deep to excited, and he rose up. "Let's go see the critters!~" He smiled, deciding to wait for the rest of the people to get off the bus so they could exit without any casualties

Augito's head was still lowered as she waited for her blushing to subside a little. Her smile becoming stronger and tender as he spoke. When the bus came to a stop she flinched, her grin turning into a surprised frown. Letting out a small gasp as the bus almost caused her tiny body to fling from the seat. She stood when she knew she wouldn't fall on her face, having to scoot up a little in the seat so her feet could touch to floor. She waited with Zed, letting out a light chuckle at his sudden excitement. She kept her hands at her sides, not knowing if the privilege to hold his hand was restored. "Have you been here before, Zed?" She lifted her stare to Zed, however whenever a passenger got up to leave her gaze would flicker to them for a moment. However she tried to fight her paranoia.

Z3d's eyes drifted around the bus anxiously. He didn't want the bus driver to believe they were trying to stay. He returned his attention to Augito at the familiar sound of her voice. "Nope never. I've never really gone anywhere but the school and my house, and the beach of course. My family and I don't exactly spend many outings together. I tried taking my sister to an amusement park once, but she was terrified so we went home before getting our tickets. It's okay though, I've never needed to go anywhere else." He smiled contently, eyes lowered. "But I've heard good reviews about this place, and well I thought it would be nice..and peaceful. You haven't gone before yourself, have you Augito? I wouldn't wanna make you go to the same place again." He rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling a bit nervously. Zed's eyes began to wander once more, and it finally clicked that everyone had already departed. "Opps.." He murmured, and extended a hand to her, offering to hold it dearly. Augito's pale eyes remained on Zed until he finished talking, sometimes nodding her head. She could level with Rose at being terrified of an amusement park, the thought of all those people and energetic screams made her dizzy. She shoved the thought out of her head before it reflected on her face. She smiled at Zed. "There's no need to worry," Augito's eyes lowered momentarily. "My parents never really had the money to take us places. Sometimes, though, my father would get off work early and we would all go skate," Augito chuckled quietly to herself. "My sister always fell and ended up not going with us after a while. But I still looked forward to the trip every year..." Augito was quiet for a small moment as if reflecting on her memories, a weak smile on her face. Her eyes widened and lifted to the sound of Zed's voice, blinking a few times at the sight of his hand. When it registered her face beamed as she took it, her tiny fingers curling tenderly around his, staring happily at Zed as she did so. "Let's... uh, go see the critters...!" She repeated nervously, a light blush on her face. At that moment she pondered to herself what the zoo would be like and became scared and excited all at once. Her childish exhilaration made her heart beat faster.

Z3d chuckled with a velvet laugh, hand secured tightly around her. "I've never been skating, but you make it sound so fun." He said while guiding her carefully out of the bus. Big arches stood as sentries, centered in the front. The entrance lacked a crowd; Zed pulled the tickets from his uniform pockets, and handed the pair casually to an employee. They were now welcomed into the huge park, filled always with more animals than people. Zed waited for a small group of girls to pass before slipping out from underneath the arches and into the clearing. "Sooo where ya wanna go?" He grinned, eyes closed pleasantly. Stands aligned the sides and corridors, along with a few signs that directed visitors to the nearest bathroom. Others simply had one word such as 'Lions' or 'Monkey'.

Augito made sure not to trip on the bus benches as they walked, her stare descending to check her footing every once and a while. Augito took a risk to lift her small face to Zed, her excitement making her voice light. "I enjoyed it so much growing up. I used to take small jobs so go there myself sometimes. You simply have to try it...!" Augito blushed and her eyes widened, turning her gaze away to check her footing. "S-sorry, I got a little too excited... You don't have to do anything..." She stumbled a little when exiting the bus but Zed's over protective carefulness helped her not to fall on her face. Their pace was cautious enough to where Augito could catch herself easily on Zed's sleeve with a surprised gasp before completely planting it on the ground. "S-sorry..." She apologized with a quick glance to Zed before she concentrated on the last step. She watched Zed hand over the tickets and her eyes widened. "Y-you already paid?" It was a thought that didn't cross her mind when he first showed her the tickets which only made her feel worse. As they waited for the group of girls to pass by Augito pestered him about paying for the trip himself. "Y-you don't need to trouble yourself so much." This, among other things of the same, were said in her own guilty apprehensive way. At the same time though Augito wondered if she even had enough to pay him back as her job hardly gave her enough to feed herself because she wasn't very good at it. Soon enough though she would give up as she would eventually feel stupid for pestering Zed so much about his hospitality. As they walked she slowly began to forget about it and her attention was captivated by the sights and sounds of the place. However she still kept herself close to Zed, their arms practically touching as the faint sound of people made her automatically wary even though she didn't show it. Zed's voice brought her back and she stared at him for a moment, not knowing what to say as she didn't know what was in the zoo. "T-to the animals...?" She blushed as she said it, knowing as soon as it left her that she had said something stupid again. Two girls, thinking they had passed her earshot, began to giggle madly.

Z3d flinched at her sudden awareness that the tickets where paid for by him. He relaxed, knowing this was normally how she was. "Augito Augito, calm now, it's fine really. I actually...uh how should I put this." He ran his fingers through the strands of his tender gray hair. "I kinda purposely bought the tickets ahead of time, so you didn't have to worry about it. I'm sorry, I apologize but I don't feel bad, because I don't want you to spend your money on these things." His other hand took it's place upon her head softly, like always, and his hand that was holding hers curled around more tightly. "Y-yeah let's go see the animals.." He smiled weakly, trying to go along, knowing he was the one who would have to choose where they went. "I think the panther exhibit is new, why don't we go check it out?" His smile widened, and he began to stride carefully over to the path down the left. Zed didn't lie about it being new, but it was also ironically the closest exhibit. He knew he was being paranoid, but he was also aware that it had been working. Zed suddenly halted, the atmosphere around him became deathly still and quiet. His eyes were locked on something inside the cage-a black feline. Such a sight wasn't uncommon in a panther cage, but it was awfully small. "Do you regret it?" Zed remained still. "You are always accusing people of being too soft, but who here really is the tender one." "Shut up." Zed mumbled under his breath, expressionless. "Did you think that this was all a game? You've already used your fair share of lies, have you ever stopped to think how it would actually feel to tell the truth." "Just shut up." Zed said, a slight bit louder that his previous whisper but ended in a careless sigh. "Why this hesitation? Has she shaken you so badly? So after all this talk about you, you really are just a spoiled boy, pampered due to his irresistible misconceptions." Zed had begun to scowl, but he seemed to be ignoring it. A family of four walked past, oblivious to the words, for they could not hear them. Zed was starting to figure this out as well. "You need a reason for living. You aren't going to disappoint me are you?" The side of Zed's fist smacked the fencing, causing one of the larger cats to jump. Abel just purred, and Zed could have sworn he saw a cat-like smile appear on her countenance. He turned away from Augito, "T-that was a good exhibit, let's look at another one..." He trailed off, and began to walk to the side slowly.

Augito smiled softly at his touch and made no argument as they took the short walk to the panther cage. She was oblivious to his over concern for her safety, more relieved with the fact that he didn't laugh at her to notice. Then again, Augito's eyes became tender at the thought, she knew Zed wouldn't have laughed at her. She didn't know why she was so confident about the thought, but she was. When they reached the cage Augito found the large cat without much effort as the Zoo made the habitat comfortable for the animals but with regard to the guests so they could be seen easier. Lost in her wonder at the animal she was ignorant about Zed's sudden change of expression. "It's so pretty, Zed." She spoke wistfully, her pale stare raising to Zed a little afterwards as she heard him mumble, but couldn't understand what he said. Augito's eyes widened when she fully heard him and her smile dispersed at the look on his face and before she could say anything Zed slammed his fist into the cage. The iron shook the bindings and rattled fiercely making Augito start. Her eyes terrified, she gasped in her shock and her body shivered for a moment. Still shaken she followed Zed silently and slowly, her apparent fear only lasted a moment or so. Hesitantly she raised her small face to Zed, a frown on her face. "Z-zed...?" She called quietly her hands and voice were trembling. "Why are you angry? W-what did I do...?" Augito was a little uneasy speaking in the way she did, whenever she spoke in a direct way like she did now her mother would beat her. However she was so scared and confused, the emotions obvious in her stare, that she couldn't ignore it sincerely. Continuing their pace and with her attention fully out of her surroundings Augito didn't notice a broken wire in her path that twisted away from the rest of the fence. "Did I make you mad? I'm sorry... Please don't be mad at me Zed... I'm so sorry... Please..." her voice was quiet and her stare didn't leave Zed, only wincing a bit as she felt the bent link of the fencing rip into the skin below her knee. The wiring wasn't that long but it gave her a fair gash where blood was already starting to drip down her pale skin.

Z3d's walking gait eventually diminished, his head pointed directly forward. His normally clear eyes seemed a bit fogged, and reflected the distinctive blue sky. Augito, I'm sorry. I know I don't make sense sometimes, but I'm sorry. He began to turn to face her, but then realized, he hadn't said any of that to her. He closed his eyes thoughtfully. It came to him suddenly; he couldn't segregate his thoughts from his words. I-impossible.. The skin around his shut eyes became strained. He wanted to use Abel as an excuse, but knew he couldn't. Zed was completely turned around now, his intense clear blue eyes locked on her and spoke only but three simple words. "Augito, forget me." He departed, the last image imprinted in his mind was her delicate figure, sad and bleeding.

Augito's eyes widened, and her quiet voice choked in her throat. She seemed to grow paler than usual and her eyes were shaken, so very shaken that her vulnerability seemed to be at an all time high. Augito broke, and she practically ran after Zed. Her eyes watered and her body shook uncontrollably as she began to cry heavily. It was almost how she reacted at the news of Tsuzuki's death. Slow and uncoordinated her run over to him was almost painful to watch. She stumbled over her feet, lost control of her footing and fell, her breathing so irregular from sudden unusual strain and weakness that she began to hyperventilate. She was determined, desperate to reach him. However he was in track, and she was so frail and sickly. Yet she kept going, falling, calling to him, stumbling, crying with that irregular breath until one time she wasn't able to get up. The tips of her tiny fingers just missing the ends of his clothing. Her elbow falling hard against the pavement, her breath was so rushed and strangled with tears that it was incredibly painful to breath. Each heave of her chest burned and singed, her head also hit the ground and scratched her skin making it bleed. Gravel and dirt littered her knees including the cut on her right knee that was bleeding and threatening infection. "No, Zed! please don't go! Please don't leave me!" She was becoming hysterical, so terrified. "I can't forget about you! I tried once to forget and didn't last a day without you! I need you!" She closed her eyes, crying so much that her vision was blurred and she couldn't see. "I love you! I can't be without you! Don't leave me! No, Zed... Please no..." It was becoming hard to scream, her hyperventilating was getting incredibly dangerous. She wasn't getting enough oxygen, she was dizzy, and the people around were becoming frightened. Augito didn't see them or hear them, she was so dizzy. Her legs limp and sprawled on the floor and her stretched out elbow twitched as she tried to move, tried to get up again. "Please no... I'll die without you..." She was becoming weak, her heart was at a dangerous rate for her weak body and the paralyzing sting of her chest was infinite. Her last words were barely audible, the breath from her words barely touching the pavement. "I love you... I need you... Please don't leave me... I love you... I need you... I love you so much... I need you so much..." She whispered the words thinking they were screams. For in her mind she was screaming, and was trying so hard to make them audible.

Z3d at first, for some reason did not turn around. He heard her desperate cries, and his body had become very tense, but his steps did not halt. Only once the sound of her hitting the pavement did his gait falter. Zed turn slowly, his intense eyes were lost in emotions, a sight that was rare for the secretive teen. His countenance carried neither a smile nor frown as he attempted to lock away such earthly emotions. Zed was very still and very quiet. Most of the crowds had moved on to another exhibit, disturbed by the conflict between the two. He finally bent his legs to crouch down beside her, eyes wary. He lifted her from the filthy ground and cradled her in his strong arms like he had done before. Although Zed seemed to have regained his gentle composure, his face remained serious. "Augito, thank you." He grinned a velvet smile, but it almost seemed too innocent. "For everything..." The last part was almost a whisper, but loud enough to be heard. His hand slipped from underneath her, lifting some of her tender brown hair with his movement. Zed was smiling, yet his hand added slight force to a pressure point, painless but enough to cause someone to slip consciousness normally.
